Lumb steers Hampshire to victory
Hampshire kept alive their hopes of a place in the last eight of the Twenty20 Cup as they maintained holders Middlesex's astonishing losing run.
Michael Lumb hit 93 as Hampshire piled up 183-6 at The Rose Bowl.
Last year's fallen winners Middlesex then looked on course for a first South Division win in seven games in this season's competition at 116-1.
But Billy Godleman (57) and Owais Shah (45) got out going for big hits as the visitors made 155-5 to lose by 28 runs.
Hampshire are back in action again at The Rose Bowl against one of their three main South Division rivals Kent on Friday night (26 June, 1730 BST).
Middlesex's next chance to end their losing Twenty20 run will be at Lord's the same night against Essex.
