ICL rebels will be allowed to play in IPL
The cricketers who quit Indian Cricket League (ICL) are all set to play in the season three of the Indian Premier League.
The Cricket Board`s all-powerful Working Committee, which met here on Tuesday, has decided that Indian Cricket League players can take part in the Indian Premier League to be held in March-April next year.
It has also been decided that the players would be given anything between Rs 8 to 10 lakhs for their participation in the BCCI-backed league.
The players, who took advantage of the BCCI`s one-time amnesty scheme and severed ties with the ICL, have already been seen in action in other official domestic cricket after the ban on them was lifted by the Board.
