Broad shows interest in IPL 3.0

Cricket agent Craig Sackfield has admitted England bowler Stuart Broad is interested in taking part in next years Indian Premier League.

Broad turned down the chance to play in last years IPL because he wanted to concentrate on preparing for the Ashes test series against the Aussies

The England and Nottinghamshire all rounder could earn almost 500,000 if he was selected at the next IPL auction which takes place in January but he will need to receive a 'no objection certificate' from the ECB to take part.

Sackfield has already contacted IPL chairman Lalit Modi to start the discussions.

"We've had contact from Craig and all players now have to write to me directly and arrange an NOC (no objection certificate) from their board by December 31," said Modi to the Daily Telegraph.

"Then we'll fix a minimum bid price and circulate their names to the franchises. A lot of the slots are taken but teams will probably be able to hire one or two players.

It is also reported that Luke Wright and James Anderson are interested in joining Broad in the auction.
