Bushrangers come out on top at the WACA
The Victorian Bushrangers bowlers came out on top at the WACA restricting the Retravision Warriors to just 152 in front of a full house in tonight KFC Big Bash encounter.
Adam Voges won the toss for the Warriors and he decided to bat first looking to report the success they had against the SpeedBlitz Blues last week.
The decision looked to pay off as Shaun Marsh and Wes Robinson got off to the perfect start for the Warriors as the pair enjoyed an opening partnership of 57.
The openers survived a number of close run outs before their luck ran out when Robinson missed judge the speed of a John Hasting deliver and spooned an easy catch in the air to wicketkeeper Matthew Wade for 34.
The Warriors were two down in the next over as Marsh was caught by James Pattinson off the bowling of Jon Holland to leave the home side 59-2.
The two quick wickets lifted the Bushrangers spirits and their bowlers started to starve the Warriors of runs as the tables were turned in favor of the visitors.
Voges found the going tough and he departed for just 8 leaving Lukc Ronchi and Luke Pomersbach to slowly move the Warriors score upwards. The pair carved out a partnership of 36 before Ronchi was bowled by Dirk Nannes.
Pomersbach soon followed Ronchi back to the Pavilion to give Nannes his second wicket of the evening. It was left to Theo Doropoulos and Ashley Noffke to face the last 2 overs to help the Warriors creep past 150.
