Aces hold on to win last ball thriller
The Auckland Aces held on to win a thrilling one run victory over the Central Stags in a thrilling match at the Saxton Oval in Nelson.
It all came down to the last ball of the game with the Stags needing a six to win the game. Jacob Oram faced the final delivery but he could only manage a four to see the Stags come up short.
Chasing a total of 163 the Stags were well set for the victory thanks to Mathew Sinclair hitting a quick fire 50 but they lost wickets at regular intervals to come up short.
Lou Vincent was the star for the Aces smashing 57 to set up the victory for the Aces who remain in the hunt for a place in the HRV Cup Final.
