Lee not rushing back from injury for IPL

With the Ashes less then 10 months away Brett Lee won't risk another injury breakdown after ruling out any comeback in the IPL for the Kings XI Punjab unless he is 100 percent fit.

Lee injured his elbow playing for Australia during the one day series against India last year and although he feels he is close to regaining his fitness he is not going to commit to the IPL which starts on March 12th.

"I am not going to be making any statement if I will be ready or not. It is just a point of how the elbow feels and just working hard on my fitness and see what happens after that" Lee told cricinfo.

Lee underwent surgery in December and as been wearing a shoulder brace for the last six weeks. His rehabilitation is on track for a comeback at the end of February.

"I am about eight weeks post-surgery. I'm looking forward to possibly start bowling from February 23. It is a slow process. It has been difficult but I am now on backpack running and steadily getting back to training so I am confident," he added.
