West Indies under pressure at the SCG

The West Indies miserable tour of Australia continued after they were bowled out for 138-7 against the Aussies at the SCG in the second of two KFC Twenty20 Internationals.

Chris Gayle won the toss for the West Indies and elected to bat first with his side looking for their first win over the Aussies this summer.

The West Indies started off well with Chris Gayle and Travis Dowlin comfortably seeing off Shaun Tait with the new ball but the Aussies soon broke through will Ryan Harris removing Gayle.

Having seen Gayle smash him for a four and six from consecutive balls Harris bowled a slower ball which Gayle could only top edge to Steven Smith at third man to leave the West Indies 26-1.

Runako Morton, who played brilliantly for the West Indies in Hobart on Sunday scoring 40 came into bat up the order and from the first ball he faced at the end of Harrisís 2nd over he picked out Cameron White in the slips for a first ball duck.

Dowlin who was supported by Kieron Pollard offered some resistantís as the pair enjoyed a 3rd wicket partnership of 23 before Pollard was bowled by Shane Watson for only 5.

Wavell Hinds (0) and Dowlin (31) soon followed to leave the visitors 63-5.

After Dwayne Smith (8) was caught by David Warner in the deep cover off the bowling of Daniel Christian the West Indies could have collapsed but Narsingh Deonarine and Denesh Ramdin battled back with a 7th wicket partnership of 22 runs before Ramdin was bowled by Tait.

With the visitors 98-7 Deonarine continued his cameo innings hitting Christian for two big sixes to finish unbeaten on 36 helping the West Indies reach 138-7.
