Royals rocked with second injury blow
The Rajasthan Royals have been hit with another injury blow just 12 hours after Graeme Smith ruled himself out of the rest of this years IPL with a broken finger.
Hampshire and England all-rounder Dmitri Mascarenhas became the second Royals player to suffer a tournament ending injury during last night’s 7 wicket defeat against the Delhi Daredevils.
Mascarenhas injured his ankle when he was run out while batting for the Royals, he’ll fly home today for further treatment.
The lost of another big player will be a blow to the Royals with skipper Shane Warne saying their experience will be hugely missed.
"Unfortunately Smith and Dimma are going home due to injury. Big setback for us as they are very good players. Their experience will be hugely missed," Warne twitted.
The lost of Smith and Mascarenhas will be a devastating blow to the Royals hopes of reaching the knock out stages of the IPL after already suffering two defeats.
