Leicestershire Foxes captain HD Ackerman says he will not let their Twenty20 Cup defeat against the Somerset Sabres ruin the rest of the season.
"I'll be a very poor leader if I let that happen. There will be guys who are down and it will be my responsibility to pick them up," he said.
"If this was a Sunday League game there would be hassles in that dressing-room. It would be vital points and we're hoping for promotion."
"But because it's a one-off we can't get too down on ourselves."
The Foxes have struggled in the Championship this year but are currently fourth in Totesport League Division Two, with a good chance of going up.
Ackerman pointed the finger at senior batsmen for throwing their wickets away as the Foxes slumped from a strong position to suffer an agonising four-run semi-final defeat to Somerset.
"Unfortunately we have some experienced campaigners who let us down," he continued.
"We sit in meetings and discuss what we want to do.
"We don't want people holing out when the sweepers are out and when you get four or five batters doing that, either they're not listening or they're trying to prove you wrong."
"I've got some quality players and they've proved time and time again that they can play under pressure.
"But we failed as a side when there was no pressure on us."
