Lightning cruise to comfortable victory

Stephen Moore hit an impressive half century to help the Lancashire Lightning record a 23 run victory over the Durham Dynamos at the Riverside Stadium.
Moore scored his half century from just 36 balls which included 3 fours and 2 sixes.
With Tom Smith (44) in support; the pair built a vital 3rd wicket partnership of 34 after Paul Horton (2) and Simon Katich were both dismissed cheaply at the top of the Lightning order.
After reaching 50; Moore (83) intensified his attack scoring another 33 runs from just 16 balls to hand the advantage to the visitors.
Faced with a big run chase the Dynamos started of brightly with Phil Mustard (47) falling just short of a well deserved half century but with only Albie Morkel (26) offering any support the home side fell well short of the Lightning’s total.
