Lions hold the advantage at the Brit Oval

Steve Davies and Andrew Symonds both recorded impressive half centuries to give the Surrey Lions the advantage against the Hampshire Royals at the Brit Oval.

Davis (60) and Symonds (63) played vital contributions for the Lions who reached 200-8 after losing Rory Hamilton-Brown (10), Jason Roy (12) and Younis Khan (21) cheaply as Sean Irvine (3-28) stared with the ball once again.

Although the Lions hold the advantage they will be concerned with the way a number of their batsman got out with Ervine picking up the key wickets of Hamilton-Brown and Younis Khan.
