Hussey plays captains innings for Outlaws

The Nottinghamshire Outlaws maintain their place at the top of the Friends Provident t20 North group thanks to a 4 wicket victory over the Durham Dynamos.

Set a total of 156 for victory the Outlaws reached their target with just 3 balls to spare thanks to an unbeaten innings from skipper David Hussey (47) who hit the winning runs off the bowling of Albie Morkel.

The Outlaws run chase got off to a disastrous start after Alex Hales (1) and Ali Brown (6) were both dismissed inside the first three overs.

With the opening pair gone Matt Wood (36) and Hussey played vital roles in securing the victory which keeps the Outlaws 4 points clear at the top of the table.

Early having been put into bat the Dynamos reached 155-9 with Phil Mustard (35) Ross Taylor (25) and Morkel (28) contributing vital runs.
