Briggs leads Royals to victory over Spitfires

The Hampshire Royals won their second game in the space of 24 hours thanks to a 45 run victory over the Kent Spitfires at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury.
Having set the Spitfires a run chase of 140 for victory; bowlers Danny Briggs (3-5) and Simon Jones (3-20) both picked up three wickets to restrict the home side to a total of just 94.
Robert Key (22) top scored for the Spitfires who have now won just 3 games in this years Friends Provident t20 South group.
The victory for the Royals keeps alive their chances of securing a place in the quarter finals thanks to an impressive innings from Sean Ervine (44) who rebuilt the Royals innings after they had been reduced to 26-3.
