Pakistan players unlikely to play in Cardiff
The Pakistan players at the centre of the current spot fixing investigation are unlikely to play for Pakistan during the two upcoming Twenty20 internationals against England at the SAWLEC Stadium in Cardiff.
Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and Kamran Akmal are expected to sit out the games after being quizzed by police in relation to the spot fixing allegations during Pakistanís recent test match against England at Lords.
The allegations were reported by the News of the World; who claimed Amir and Asif had bowled three no-balls after a "middle man" accepted £150,000 in cash from an undercover reporter.
With the players expected in London tomorrow to help police further with their enquires they are expected to miss out against the current Twenty20 World Champions.
The ICC meanwhile has stated their desire for Pakistan's tour of England to carry on despite the mounting media interest in the story.
ICC President Sharad Pawar said it was the desire of the ICC and the cricket boards of England and Pakistan that the series should continue.
