Lara and Gilchrist top the auction price list

Former West Indies legend Brian Lara and 2009 IPL winning skipper Adam Gilchrist are two of the players included in the top bracket for next months player auction in Bangalore.
The two big hitting batsman have been given a base price of $400,000 and will join the likes of Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, Brendon McCullum and Mahela Jayawardene with the highest price tags.
Over 400 players will hope to be selected during the two day event; with each participant given a base price ranging from $20,000 up to $400,000.
Unsurprisingly it’s England’s Twenty20 World Cup winning side which feature must in the top bracket with Kevin Pietersen, James Anderson, Graeme Swann, Stuart Broad, Luke Wright and Michael Yardy all included.
Other players included in the $400,000 range include New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori, Ross Taylor and wicketkeeper batsman Brendon McCullum.
Shaun Marsh, Adam Gilchrist and Brett Lee are the only Aussies to feature in the top run while Mitchell Johnson, Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting aren’t even I nthe list of players eligible for the auction.
