Michael Hussey scored a vital half century to help a misfiring Chennai Super Kings seal a 25 run victory over the Pune Warriors at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Yuvraj Singh (32) led the visitors run chase until he was dismissed by Albie Morkel in the penultimate to pretty much end the Warriors faint hopes of securing victory.

Faced with a tricky run chase the Warriors got of to a steady start thanks to Mohnish Mishra and Jessie Ryder who shared an opening stand of 19.
Despite losing Mishra (9) in the 3rd over after he was bowled by Albie Morkel the Warriors remained positive with Ryder and Manish Pandey at the crease.
The pair put quickly added 8 runs to the total before the Warriors suffered a top order collapse which saw them reduced to 40-4 inside 6 overs.
Ryder (15) was the first to go after he was bowled by Ravichandran Ashwin in the 4th over before Pandey (12) and Robin Uthappa (0) quickly followed back to the dug out.
With the tension mounting Mithun Manhas and Yuvraj Singh gave the Warriors fresh hope with a 5th wicket partnership of 38 but when Manhas (20) was dismissed by Bollinger the pressure was on Yuvraj to guide the visitor’s home.
Despite Hussey’s contribution the Warriors bowlers kept the home side under pressure throughout the innings with Murali Kartik (26-0) and Alfonso Thomas (29-2) leading the way.
Having been put into bat the Super Kings enjoyed a positive start thanks to Hussey and Murali Vijay who shared an opening stand of 64 before Alfonso Thomas struck twice in the 10th over.
