Rain washes out Midlands clash at Grace Road

The Friends Life t20 clash between the Leicestershire Foxes and the Nottinghamshire Outlaws was abandoned after heavy rain swashed out the Foxes run chase at Grace Road in Leicester.

Faced with a victory target of 165 the Foxes had reached 21-0 at the end of the 3rd over when heavy rain moved over the ground to leave the players running for cover.

With rain continuing to fall umpires Rob Bailey and Neil Mallender were left with little option but to abandon the game to leave both sides with a point.

Having been put into bat the Outlaws reached 164-8 thanks to Adam Voges (36) and David Hussey (32) who led the attack for the visitors before the game was cut short.
