Foxes title defence gets off to a poor start
The Leicestershire Foxes Friends Life t20 title defence got off to a poor start after they slumped to a six wicket defeat against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws at Grace Road Road in Leicester.
The defending champions were bowled out for just 96; their lowest ever t20 total after Outlaws skipper Adam Voges won the toss and elected to field first.
Steven Mullaney (4-19) lead the Outlaws attack against a toothless Foxes batting line up to leave the vistors with a simple run chase which was completed by out Foxes star James Taylor (16) who smashed four boundaries from six deliveries to seal victory with seven overs to spare.
The nights other game between the Kent Spitfires and the Sussex Sharks was washed out at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury after despite the match being moved from Tunbridge Wells which was hit by flash flooding yesterday.
