Foxes set the pace thanks to Maddy
Superb batting from Darren Maddy and James Allenby put the Leicestershire Foxes in control at Trent Bridge as they set the Nottinghamshire Outlaws 178 runs to win the 2006 Twenty20 Cup.
Jeremy Snape won the toss and elected to bat first, the Foxes attacked from the start looking to set the Outlaws a big target.
Ryan Sidebottom and Charlie Shrek opned the attack for the Outlaws but they were unable to pin the Foxes down like they had done to the Surrey Brown Caps.
Despite the loss of Hylton Ackerman for 11 Maddy and Allenby put on a partnership of 133 before Allenby was run out for 64 by an excellent throw by Shrek.
Maddy continued his superb innings ending 86 not out including a four off the final ball of the innings.
