Vics pose decent score against Tassie
Victoria gave themselves a great chance of defending their Twenty20 cricket title by scoring an impressive 7-178 in the match against Tasmania at the MCG.
The Bushrangers made a great start to the top-of-the-table clash through opener Aiden Blizzard, who smacked six boundaries in his 25, and then got handy contributions from their three best batsmen.
David Hussey continued his excellent form by smashing 54 from 33 deliveries, Brad Hodge hit 27 from 24 balls and Cameron White impressed in his comeback match with 30 from 26.
White had not played since November when he fractured a bone in his foot in a day-night game against Queensland.
Andrew McDonald was unbeaten on 18, while Brett Geeves finished off well for Tasmania and took successive wickets in his final over for a return of 3-36.
Victoria comfortably bettered their 6-154 scored on the slow MCG pitch on Sunday night, which was too big a total for NSW.
Victoria (second) will go a long way towards securing a spot in the final through victory, while Tasmania (top) will be assured of a place in the decider if they can post a fourth successive win.
