Bushrangers bat first in Big Bash Final
Western Australia has won the toss and elected to bowl first in its KFC Twenty20 Big Bash final against Victoria at the WACA Ground on Sunday.
In what is shaping up to be an explosive contest, both sides enter the match with star-studded line-ups.
Victoria will unleash power-hitters Cameron White, Aiden Blizzard and the white-hot David Hussey, while the Warriors will return fire with the likes of Luke Ronchi, Luke Pomersbach and Adam Voges.
The Bushrangers will be looking to make it three Twenty20 titles on the trot following their success in the first two Big Bash campaigns.
The Bushrangers have only ever lost two Twenty20 matches, and both of them have been to the Warriors.
The first was an exhibition match, while the second loss came last week when WA cruised to a five-wicket victory at home.
But no matter who triumphs in this match, both sides end up as winners.
By reaching the final, WA and Victoria have qualified for the Indian Champions League in October, in which almost $6 million in prize money will be up for grabs.
Tonight's winning team will snare $32,000, while the runner-up will receive a cool $16,000.
Interestingly, in three Twenty20 clashes at the WACA Ground this summer, the side batting first is yet to taste victory.
