After keeping mum for the whole day the BCCI finally swung into action by suspending Indian off spinner Harbhajan Singh from Indian Premier League.

The wily Indian bowler who is mostly in news for on field controversies had slapped another Indian bowler Sreesanth at the end of an IPL match at Mohali. Harbhajan Singh’s team Mumbai Indian was defeated by Kings XI Punjab.

It looks like Harbhajan is in for a long trouble. His cricket career may also be in danger. The BCCI decided to take severe action after looking at a video clip that is rumoured to be shot by a spectator. Harbhajan who is captaining Mumbai Indian team may be give 5 test match ban or 10 ODI maches ban.

Earlier today Kings XI Punjab had lodged a formal complaint with IPL and BCCI in the matter.

A press release by Kings XI Punjab said that, “Kings XI Punjab confirms that a formal complaint against Mr Harbhajan Singh was submitted to the BCCI earlier today. The complaint is in relation to yesterday's incident following the match against Mumbai Indians, where Mr Singh made an unprovoked attack on Mr Sreesanth”.

In the meantime there are consistent demand that Barbhajan Singh should be barred from not only playing IPL matches of the series but also from international matches.

Harbhajan Singh had slapped his national cricket teammate Sreesanth following a small argument that ensued between the two at the end of IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians teams.

IPL Mohali crushed Harbhajan Singh led Mumbai team and it was consecutive third loss for star-studded Mumbai team. Harbhajan is leading Mumbai IPL team in the absence of Sachin Tendulkar.

If eye witnesses are to be believed the ugly incident happened after the end of the match when the winning and defeated teams were shaking hands. At that time in ugliest of incidents on the ground, Harbhajan Singh slapped Sreesanth.
