Royal Challengers elect to bowl first
Bangalore Royal Challengers have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Delhi Daredevils in the 17th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) played at Ferozeshah Kotla Grounds in Delhi.
This is a match between two wounded sides as they clash against each other on a good pitch.
With Virender Sehwag at the helm, Delhi have won two matches out three matches played so far, while Bangalore team have lost three matches out of four played so far. The Royal Challengers have won just one. The Delhi team not just have the home advantage, but are also better staged in points tally.
The Delhi Daredevils ruthlessly crushed Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers before Yuvraj Singh's Kings XI Punjab thrashed them at Mohali.
As for Royal Challengers, Rahul Dravid's men are yet to find form. After the plastering by Brendon McCullum in the opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders, the five-wicket win against the winless Mumbai Indians brought back smiles. But that too disappeared soon as they suffered back-to-back defeats against Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.
