Royals seek revenge against Daredevils
Warne's warriors are upbeat before taking on Delhi Daredevils.
In the previous clash between the two the Royals lost so comprehensively that it confirmed their status as underdogs but given their winning streak since then the Royals now top the IPL table and are thirsting for revenge against the Daredevils in the Indian Premier League match at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium on Sunday.
Shane Warne, the captain of Rajasthan Royals said, "Delhi beat us convincingly in the first game. But that was a long time ago. We've played 7 games since then and we have come a long way and we are now looking for some revenge against Delhi."
While the Royals are on a roll, the Daredevils have shown erratic form in their last match they suffered a heartbreaking final-over loss to Dhoni's Super kings but they claim in Sehwag, Gambhir and McGrath they have enough ammunition to tame the Royals in their den.
Delhi Daredevils coach Greg Shepherd said, "Shane Warne is a former colleague of mine at Victorian cricket. I'm therefore well aware of their mental strategies. And so look it's a contest between two very good and competitive sides. I think the quality of cricket on that day will determine the result and not the mind games they try to play."
The only matter of concern for Royal is injuries of Dimitri Mascarenhas and in-form diminutive opener Swapnil Asnodkar Delhi have to decide whether to go in with an extra batsman or an additional bowler in this crunch game.
Captain Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan are in good form but AB de Villiers and Pakistani skipper Shoaib Malik are yet to come in with a big contribution.
The Daredevils may have thrashed them in their last clash but the Royals have not lost a single game on home turf. And with both sides in an aggressive mood, the grudge match here promises to be full of fireworks.
