Play underway after rain delay in Chennai
Bangalore Royal challengers captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat against the Chennai Super Kings in their Indian Premier League match.
Due to a sudden downpour, the toss was delayed by 30 minutes and thereby the start of the game was rescheduled at 8.15, a delay of fifteen minutes. However, there was no reduction in overs.
While Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Chennai team captain, decided to go with the same combination that did duty against Kolkata Knight Riders, Dravid made three changes, dropping Cameron White, Zaheer Khan and Bharath Chipli for Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar and Mark Boucher.
