Mumbai field first in rain shortened game

Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and asked Bangalore Royal Challengers to bat first after rain truncated the inconsequential Indian Premier League match to an 18-overs-a-side affair here on Wednesday.

Intermittent rain did not allow the toss to take place at time and the match would now start at 1730 hours.

Mumbai Indians: Sachin Tendulkar (C), Dilhara Fernando, Sanath Jayasuriya, Dhawal Kulkarni, Abhishek Nayar, Ashish Nehra, Shaun Pollock, Dwayne Smith, Yogesh Takawale, Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Rohan Raje.

Bangalore Royal Challengers: Rahul Dravid (C), B Akhil, Dale Steyn, Anil Kumble, Cameron White, Misbah-ul-Haq, Vinay Kumar, Mark Boucher, Praveen Kumar, Shreevats Goswami, Virat Kohli.
