Date announced for quarter-final

The Durham Dynamos will finally get to play their abandoned Twenty20 Cup quarter-final at the Riverside on Tuesday, July 22 against the Glamorgan Dragons.

The original tie against Yorkshire was abandoned less then two hours before the scheduled start after it emerged Yorkshire had fielded an-unregistered player during the group stages against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

After a two week delay while their opponents were decided in two separate hearings the quarter-final will only be played four days before the Twenty20 Cup Finals day at the Rosebowl on Saturday, July 26th.

Both sides will be hoping that the game goes ahead because no reserve day as been arranged because of fixture scheduling, Durham are playing Somerset in a day night Pro40 game the next afternoon so floodlights will be available to ensure the game is completed if it is rain effected.

Alan Fordham, Head of Operations for the ECB, said: "The ECB are grateful for the assistance of both Durham and Glamorgan in agreeing to the arrangements around this game."
