Harris not worried by delayed payments

Hyderabad Heroes skipper Chris Harris is not worried despite ICL`s decision to hold player’s payments and cancel the World Series, scheduled for March.

Irrespective of the growing recession in the global markets, Harris said that the itinerary has been tweaked before and payments from India were always slow.

"There have been changes to it in the past and generally dates have changed a number of times," Harris said. "All the tournaments have gone ahead as planned.”

Harris said that players had been informed the payments would come through in a week. "They`ve never not paid us before."

"To be honest, I`m not concerned at all because the payments have always arrived until this point in time."

ICL is believed to be undertaking a major review of its existing contracts and is examining performances of 15-16 players from a pool of 70 foreign players. Players who fail to perform will either be released or asked to sign up again for a lesser fee.
