Clark ready to walk away from test cricket

Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark has admitted he his ready to walk away from international cricket in order to play a full season in the Indian Premier League.

Clark, who is currently sidelined with a back injury feels his international career may have reached the end of the road but the chance to play in the IPL as convinced him to carry on playing.

"If I woke up in the morning and the desire wasn't there, I would probably give it away. But that's not the way I'm feeling at the moment. There probably won't be many international opportunities coming up anymore, but I still love playing for NSW and idea of playing IPL and county cricket is exciting" said 34-year-old Clark.

"There are a whole heap of new challenges for me. The opportunity to captain New South Wales has been fantastic and then IPL" said Clark.

Clark's back injury as given Victoria fast bowler Clint McKay the chance to come into Australia's test side and it seems certain Clark will struggle to regain his place but the lure of playing county cricket for Kent and a possible IPL stint as convinced him to carry on.
