Kiwis aiming for winning start against Tigers

New Zealand go into tomorrows Twenty20 International against Bangladesh in Hamilton aiming to start their build up to the Twenty20 World Cup with a victory.

The Kiwis won't be using the game as a gentle warm up to their series against Australia later in the month with Ross Taylor admitting the Kiwis will give Bangladesh the respect they deserve.

"Definitely not. Bangladesh are playing some good cricket and if we go out there and are complacent it'll show in out performances" he said.

"If we get out there and play to the best of our ability we'll get the desired result. They're an improving nation and I think we can't take them lightly at all. It's going to be an exciting series." he added.

With the Twenty20 World Cup just under 3 months away the Kiwis will be hoping to start the countdown with victory over Bangladesh before facing Australia in two Twenty20 Internationals at the end of February.

The Kiwis have drafted in Twenty20 specialists Nathan McCullum and Gareth Hopkins for tomorrows game, the pair both enjoyed successful HRV Cup campaign with Hopkins helping the Auckland Aces reach last weekends Final.
