Cobras bounce back to seal win over Dolphins
The Nashua Cape Cobras bounced back from a disastrous start to beat the Nashua Dolphins by 14 runs at Newlands in Cape Town as the Cobras won their 2nd Pro20 game of the season.
The Cobras rebounded from being 3-2 to to set the Dolphins a target of 177 which they defended successfully.
After losing openers Andrew Puttick (1) and Stiaan van Zyl (2) in the second over the Cobras were indebted to all rounder Justin Kemp who smashed a quick fire 59 to lead the Cobras to 116/6.
Kemp was supported by Robin Peterson (14) and Justin Ontong (16) as the Cobras did well to recover from such a bad start.
Chasing such a low total should have been easy for the Dolphins but they struggle against Vernon Philander who pick up 5 wickets as the Dolphins were skittled out for 102 leaving them searching for their first Pro20 win of the season.
