Sussex Sharks sign Tillakaratne Dilshan
Defending Twenty20 Cup champions the Sussex Sharks have signed Sri Lankan Twenty20 superstar Tillakaratne Dilshan who will play for East Coast team during this years Friends Provident t20.
Dilshan was one of the stars from last years Twenty20 World Cup in England stunning cricket fans around the world with the astonishing ‘Dilscoop’ which saw him flick the ball over his head on numerous occasion to help Sri Lanka reach the final.
Mark Robinson, Professional Cricket Manager, said: "The recruitment of overseas players is becoming more complex as the international fixture list grows, including the possibility of staging major matches at neutral venues such as the UAE and USA."
"With Yasir Arafat likely to have Pakistan commitments and Dwayne Smith with the West Indies, the signing of one of the world's leading batsman gives us some exciting options."
