Tendulkar facing race to be fit for Final
Mumbai Indians skipper Sachin Tendulkar is facing a race to be fit for the IPL final on Sunday after picking up a finger injury during the Indians 35-run victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The 36 year old required five stitches to his right hand after attempting to take a catch while fielding in the slips during the first IPL semi final on Wednesday night.
"My right hand is not doing too great. I split my webbing and got five stitches during the game. But I will hopefully recover for the final," said Tendulkar.
It was a night to forgot personally for Tendulkar, having posted his first single figure score in the this years IPL the injury he suffered forced him to leave the pitch while fielding.
The Indians will face the Chennai Super Kings in the final on Sunday at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
