Dhoni targets World Cup glory for India
Fresh from winning the Indian Premier League at the weekend India skipper MS Dhoni is confident his side will challenge once again for the Twenty20 World Cup crown.
After guiding the Chennai Super Kings to IPL glory Dhoni turned his attentions to the Twenty20 World Cup which starts on Friday in Guyana.
"We are confident of putting our best show in West Indies as there are no serious injuries to our key players. We have got very talented players in our side and if we play according to our plan, I have no doubt that we will do good," said Dhoni before his team left for the Caribbean.
"I am not unnecessarily worried about the practice matches as we are already playing too many matches and that is part and parcel of cricket today," he added.
"There is a thin difference between the two teams playing at international level and it often becomes demanding in a pressure scenario but India definitely will be a team to beat."
With the Indian Premier League only finishing on Sunday evening in Mumbai the Indian team has decided not to play any warm up games and will go onto their first group game against Afghanistan on Saturday after a couple of days rest after their flight.
