Pietersen flies home for birth of child
After his man of the match performance against South Africa Kevin Pietersen is to fly back to England for the birth of his first child.
Pietersen is to fly home from the Caribbean today to be with his wife, Jessica before dashing back to the West Indies if, as expected England which the semi finals.
"It's my first child, so it's a hell of an exciting time for me," said Pietersen during the press conference after Englandís stunning victory over South Africa.
"I'm flying back to London in the next 24 hours and hoping everything goes well and according to plan, there's no complications.
"If we get through to the semi-finals, I'll come in the day before the semi-finals."
Pietersen will miss Englandís final Super Eights group game against New Zealand on Monday in St Lucia but their crushing victory over the Proteas means England can still quality for the semi final with a defeat against the Kiwis.
