Nannes record helps Outlaws claim victory
Australian fast bowler Dirk Nannes became the first player to take 100 Twenty20 wickets as the Nottinghamshire Outlaws cruised to a 6 wicket victory over the Worcestershire Royals.
The Aussie picked up the wickets of Vikram Solanki and Phil Jacques in the space of three balls at the start of the 4th over to make history on a night when the Outlaws prived to powerful for the Royals.
Set a total of just 114 for victory the Outlaws cruised to victory thanks to an unbeaten innings of 66 from opener Alex Hales who saw the Outlaws past the Royals with 6 overs to spare.
Having been put into bat by the Outlaws; the Royals struggled throughout their innings losing wickets at regular intervals and the home side were indebted to Gareth Andrew who hit the last three balls of the innings for three sixes.
