Lightning cruise to 9 wicket victory

The Lancashire Lightning cruised to a 9 wicket Duckworth Lewis victory over the Nottinghamshire Outlaws to strengthen their chances of securing a place in the Friends Provident t20 quarter finals.
With heavy rain causing a 45 minute delay at the end of the Outlaws innings the home side were a set a target of 81 from 10 overs which they reached with 10 balls to spare thanks to Stephen Moore (51).
Moore’s half century came from just 24 balls and included 4 fours and 2 sixes to help the Lightning make light work of their run chase.
Having batted first the Outlaws reached a total of 138-7 with Alex Hales top scoring with 83 as the visitors big hitting top order failed to fire which left Chris Read (11) as the second highest scorer.
