Sabres clinch quarter final home tie

The Somerset Sabres secured a home quarter final in the Friends Provident t20 thanks to a 6 wicket victory over the Gloucestershire Gladiators at the County Ground in Bristol.
The victory see’s the Sabres move four points clear at the top of the south table despite losing skipper Marcus Trescothick (1) at the end of the first over.
Despite the lose the visitors easily chased down the Gladiators total of 152-9 with ease thanks to Peter Trego (46) and Zander de Bruyn (37) who secured the victory.
Having batted first after losing the toss the Gladiators made a good start to their inning thanks to Hamish Marshall (45) and Chris Dent (30) who shared a 4th wicket partnership of 61.
The pair were both dismissed by Kieron Pollard in the 16th over before the Gladiators collapse from 132-3 as they lost 5 wickets in the space of 3 overs to end the innings on the back foot.
