Friends Provident t20 semi finalists the Essex Eagles have signed West Indies all rounder Dwayne Bravo to strengthen their chances in next months Finals day at the Rose Bowl.
The Eagles, who face the Hampshire Royals in the first semi final will be missing big hitting all rounder Scott Styris so the need to sign a world class all rounder was essential.
All through Bravo’s signing is subject to visa approval the Eagles fully except him to be in the line up on Saturday, August 14th at the Rose Bowl.
"Obviously Dwayne is a world-class all-rounder and we have lost the services of other big hitters such as Graham Napier and Ryan ten Doeschate," said Eagles Head coach Paul Grayson.
"We see Dwayne as a like-for-like replacement for Scott Styris. He is a top-class player and we hope he can make a major impact on finals day," he added.
