Ganguly handed comeback by the Warriors
Former India and Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Sourav Ganguly has joined the Pune Warriors for the remainder of this years Indian Premier League.
The 38 year old has been without a franchise since he was snubbed during Januaryís player auction after the Knight Riders decided not to resign him much to the anger of fans in Kolkata.
Having led the Knight Riders during the first three tournamentís Ganguly was snubbed by all ten franchises and although the Kochi Tuskers Kerala made a number of attempts to sign him, Ganguly seemed destined to miss the tournament.
"I was approached by them yesterday and I've confirmed about my availability to them. I am leaving for Mumbai today and the details will be announced there," said Ganguly.
The Warriors, who are in the middle of a six game losing streak will hope the singing of Ganguly will kick start their campaign and add some much needed batting experience to Yuvraj Singh's side.
