Sangakkara wins the toss, Ganguly plays
Deccan Chargers skipper Kumar Sangakkara has won the toss and elected to bat first against the Pune Warriors who have handed Sourav Ganuly his debut in this years tournament.
With both teams unable to reach the playoffs, Sangakkara and Juvraj Singh will heope end their campaigns on a positive note at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Warriors will be full of confidence after their 5 wicket victory over the Kings XI Punjab on Sunday night which ended their disappointing seven game losing streak.
The Chargers meanwhile will be looking to end a run of three consecutive defeats which as all but ended the home side’s faint chances of reaching the playoffs.
The home side have replaced Ishan Malhotra with Pragyan Ojha while the Warriors have selected former Indian skipper Sourav Ganuly for the first time since signing the player last week.
