Rampaging Royals stay in the play off hunt
The Rajasthan Royals cruised to a comprehensive 45 run victory over the slumping Pune Warriors to keep their play off hopes alive at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
The victory moves the Royals up into fifth place in the group standings with just two games remaining as the race for the play offs heats up as the group stages come to a close.
Faced with a victory target of 171 the Warriors were never in contention after they lost four early wickets inside the opening five overs on the way to their eighth straight defeat.
Steve Smith (37) offered some resistantís but with wickets falling around him the Aussies was unable to mount a serious challenge to the Royals
Its proved to be a perfect day for the Royals who posted a total of 170-4 after they won the toss and elected top bat first with Ajinkya Rahane (61) leading the way for the home side.
Shane Watson (58) offered support during a 2nd wicket stand of 94 which took the game away from the Warriors and handed a much needed victory to the Royals.
