Rampaging Knight Riders cruise to simple victory

The play off bond Kolkata Knight Riders ended the group stages with a comprehensive 34 run victory over the Pune Warriors at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune.
The win sets up a play off clash with the Delhi DareDevils on Tuesday night in Pune; the winner will be guaranteed a place in next weekends final while the loser takes on the winner of the 3rd and 4th place eliminator for a place in the final.
Having set the Warriors a victory target of 137, the Knight Riders brushed a side the home side with ease to secure a comprehensive victory after restricting Sourav Ganguly’s side to a total of just 102-8.
Jesse Ryder (22) offered the most resistant’s but with wickets falling at regular intervals the Warriors slumped to their twelfth defeat of a hugely disappointing tournament which started with three wins from four games.
Shakib Al Hasan (42) and Brendon McCullum (41) led the way for the Knight Riders who posted a total of 136-4 which proved more then enough against a Warriors side lacking in confidence.
