Proteas cruise to series victory over the Kiwis

South Africa sealed a 33 run victory against New Zealand at the Axxess DSL St George's in Port Elizabeth to seal a 2-1 series victory in their three game t20 international series against the Kiwi’.

Henry Davids led the way with a quick fire 68 which included seven boundaries and two sixes after the early loss of Faf de Plessis (1) and Quinton de Kock (2) inside the opening five overs.

Justin Ontong (48) and David Miller (28) offered Davids support to help South Africa record an impressive total of 179-6 which proved too high for the Kiwi’s to chase down.

Brendon McCullum (25) and Martin Guptill (24) offered some hope with wickets falling at regular intervals New Zealand’s run chase slowly ground to halt as they were restricted to a total of just 146-9.
