Game of two halves for Flintoff
England will take on Lancashire in a crowd-pulling Twenty20 floodlit game at Old Trafford on August 24 as part of Andrew Flintoff's benefit year.
The ASDA Challenge match will help to raise money for Leukaemia Research and the Kirsty Appeal as part of Freddie's commitment to a number of charities which also include the Chase Ben Hollioake Fund, and the Lord's Taverners.
A capacity 17,000 crowd is expected to watch the country's top players in action. And Freddie's all-round talents will be much in evidence - he is planning to play for both sides!
"It promises to be a great night," he said.
"I don't often get a chance to play at Old Trafford nowadays and the idea is to put on some top entertainment for the North-West fans, but I expect it to be competitive."
Freddie, who is the face of the ECB's ASDA-sponsored Kwik Cricket, added: "ASDA are putting a lot of time and effort into cricket and I would like to thank them for their support in this match."
